Continuity Editing:
A system of cutting used to maintain continuous and clear narrative action by following a set of rules
Rules


Establishing shot - An establishing shot in film making and television production sets up, or establishes the context for a scene by showing the relationship between its important figures and objects

Shot / Reverse shot - Shot reverse shot is a film technique where one character is shown looking at another character, and then the other character is shown looking back at the first character. Since the characters are shown facing in opposite directions, the viewer assumes that they are looking at each other

30 Rule - If changing the angle must be more than 30 Degree's

Crosscutting - Cross-cutting is an editing technique most often used in films to establish action occurring at the same time, and usually in the same place. In across-cut, the camera will cut away from one action to another action, which can suggest the simultaneity of these two actions but this is not always the case. Cutting between two scenes E.G Woman in car, Man running to the car

Match on action - Cutting on action or matching on action refers to film editing and video editing techniques where the editor cuts from one shot to another view that matches the first shot's action. See someone doing action next shot seeing what they were doing E.G Man shoots next shot see the bluet hit a person

Eyeline match - Eyeline matching is a film editing technique associated with continuity editing to help establish a logical coherence between shots and make the storytelling smooth, logical and continuous. Eyeline matching is one of the basic building blocks of moviemaking for a narrative film or story.

Re-Establishing shot - An establishing shot in film making and television production sets up, or establishes the context for ascene by showing the relationship between its important figures and objects.Goes back to a shot or place

My challenge today was to , Edit clips together to make them look as if they were filmed that way.
I chose to , start with the crime scene but was going o to add the autopsy into it as well. 
I found , the editing the timings really difficult because , i was not good at the deleting part of the scenes when editing them together.
I enjoyed , watching through the clips and then editing them together.
My finished scene was , just over half of the crime scene investigation.

Select - colour range  - select colour - select - inverse - image - adjustments - black and white - done

Two images - on top place mask on layer ( at bottom of layers tab) - gradient tool and draw lines done

-Clipping masks
unlock - new layer underneth and colour - horozon tal mask tool - draw tex box - chose text caps - put in posision - cmd c cmd v done

-Layer masks
cover backround - copy backround and place on top ( cmd j to copy layer ) - add layer mask to top layer - have black on top and white on bottem ( at bottem of tool bar ) - paint brush and paint black over face - if gone wrong use white to get rid of - change opacity done

Recipe for an action movie
Ingredients
A Handsome hero or group of hero's
An enemy human or animal
A mission to get someone or something
Lots of chase scenes 
Lots of fights scenes 
Big populated city

Guns ,Explosions ,CGI

Method
1.Get a meeting with the hero in top secret base / place to address the problem and meet partner(s) who like or dislike the other hero's and take them to the location of the mission in a populated city or newly discovered place ,and see gadgets they must use to complete the mission at hand while not letting civilians see the hero's doing the mission.

2. Find who / what they need to retrieve / capture and have a few funny moments with co-hero's and super long chase scene on never ending road with the enemy that never seems to end but villain gets away and end up have a fight scene with the enemy infinite supply of fighters that some how lose and the fight scene and it has so many close up's and long shot you can't tell whats going on but eventually the hero's come out UN-harmed and re-play there mission.

3. Few scenes later they meet with the enemy in a run down place which you can tell it is an ambush and it surprisingly turns out to be an ambush and becomes another long fight scene with the next wave of never-ending supply of fighters in the private army all using guns explosion and any weapon available and more explosion and the hero get knocked down and a sad scene happens and then they get captured and is in a badly secured prison cell allowing them to break out and have another fight scene with the regenerating never ending army with the hero's using any thing as a weapon and some who dogging and surviving a barrage of bluets and explosives flying towards them which go behind them into the villains living space of the super secrete base destroying every thing in sit.

4. Hero goes after villain again and captures the villain then is put in a badly secured prison, because no one cares about security and escapes which no of the hero's expected some how , hero gets villain again and then completes there mission most probably learn ed from there mistake and puts them in a high security prison but who knows its most probably a third badly secured prison and they escape again but then the hero is congratulated and goes back as a normal citizen in there shack Evan though they have tones of money and lives there life until the next mission because they know there will be one that will be ridiculously hard like mission impossible yet its possible because they seam to complete the mission because they completed 6 " impossible" missions within there 2 hour run time

All of these movies have many fighting scenes this is what makes them action films stunts car chases and explosions thin like this make them actin movies it is normal good guy verses bad guy or good team verses bad team. The plot is usually the hero has a goal to complete this can be anywhere from solving a crime fighting an enemy or saving a heroin but is going through imposable odds to achive this goal.
