Website brief
29th March 2019
L/O: To build an effective website
i ended up using this as my website logo and the website is now finished and it is :
https://ben2005tucker.wixsite.com/washing This has the home page and other tabs working and with my person all of my descriptions and writing on there.

Evaluation
1. Explain your company/product including any branding choices
My company will be washing vehicles and the company has many packages to choose from and a location of an office and one wash site which i number 5 to make it seem like we had more wash sites.
2.Explain what you had to do on Wix to make your site
First i chose a template that wash car washing themed and i had to add all the writing in the text boxes and the i had to change the company name and put my logo on there and some photos of our previous work in to the website to show that we make the cars locking nice and shiny
3. Explain how pleased you are with the outcome and why
I am very very very pleased with how the site came out, because i believe it looks like a real website for an actual company and i have also had feed back from my business studies teacher and he says it was very good and detailed and very professional.
4. Explain what you would change or improve.
I would like to get rid the little ' lets chat ' box down the bottom right of the screen which i purposely made sure wasn't in the screen shots but that is all i would change.

Photography Challenge
27th March 2019
L/O: To experiment with perspective and composition
Giants and monsters

We had to think about the distances and the angles on the images that we took with one person in the distance.
Reflections

In this photo we had to figure out how to get the reflection and how to take the right photo.
Jump!

This photo challenged our timing skills and communication skills, these photos were the hardest to take because of timing and photo taking
Looking Up.

In this one we had to find a ledge for my partner, Jago, to stand on and me to stand bellow him taking the photos.
Looking Down

For this photo we found a nice green grass patch and Jago lay ed in the sun while i took the photo looking down on him
Patterns in Nature

To make this photo happen we had to find sticks an flowers to take a close up photo
Hand Stars

In this photo we worked with a person from a different group to make the star in this photo. It was easier than it looks.
Horseman
For this photo we worked with the same person from the other group and he was our body for us while Jago was the head in the distance
Natural Frames

For this we went around looking for different trees with ' photo frames ' that we could use to our advantage and use to take a photo through and we try'd to get a nice natural scenery through the tree.
Ground Level

For this one we just put my phone on the floor and took a photo of the floor level and it worked quite well i think, this was very simple to take

Branding

L/O: to explore the concept of branding & to create an effective brand image
Elements that need to be considered
Shape
Colour
Font style
Name

Colour Conotations

I have chose this design because it looks like the car is being washed and the name is down the bottom left because it was a good place to put it because it fits in perfectly and does not cover up the main focuses, and the lines in the back i just thought would look very good and give it a bit of colour i think that they do look good.

My News Day Story
6th mar 2019
My news story to be read by me.
To raise the funds, they started a challenge called the 'Seven Peak Challenge' where the school selected students to come out of school to Cornwall services to the clip and climb centre where the student had to climb up as many walls as possible to recreate them climbing to seven peaks of a mountain, this encouraged spectators to donate to the charity fund , at the end of the fundraiser they had completed their challenge.
15th March 2019
To evaluate and review our news day project
I did a story on the bodmin college hidout room as well as camera man , director and helped every group save there storys
I enjoyed the filming part the most because i was not i frount of the camera
The thing i least enjyed was reading my story out in frount of the cameras , because i dont like being filmed
The skills i learnt / improved on was presnting , editing , filming.
I learned that news is a long process to have to go through just to get it to a high enough standard
If i were to do news day again i would try to not mess up while speaking and have to edit it out later as that was a bit hard to edit.
My news story to be read by me.
On Tuesday the 5th of March, the Bodmin college Hideout sensory room was revealed to the public. The first ideas for the hideout circulated in January 2017. The Hideout will provide them with: 'Exploration' , 'Empowerment' , 'Communication' as well as raising their "Confidence , Engagement and Independence" . A sensory room would provide "Security ,Relaxation" and "Freedom`' and is a specially designed environment which creates focus on sense such as feel , vision, sound and smell. We interviewed

After finding the right quote back in 2017, they decided to start on the conversion of the room, and it was finally a high enough standard for teachers to enter and experience in September 2018. In January 2019 when the students came back to school they were greeted to the room being complete and operative.
The room has a UV area ,which has special UV lights. It has a water feature on the left wall as you walk in which creates a relaxing sound , and then there is a padded area for students to relax listening to sounds or looking at a background projected on the pads . The pad is touch screen, so it can be used as an interactive white board for lessons, games or just a relaxing background.
