Opening of the hideout at greenfield
Mrs lenaghon is the lady in charge of the hideout project and its grand opening is Monday 4th march at bodmin college , they have done fundraising events to help pay for the building , such as the seven peak challenge which i participated in , and some 30 teacher participated in the Plymouth 10km run dressed as sheep a farmer and a tractor all to inspire younger generations to prove they can achieve any thing you put your mind to and you don't have to be the best to have fun and just from 21 caring supporters they raised £ 330 back in January of last year.
Interview Questions
How many fundraisers have you done?
How long have you been fundraising?
What fundraiser raised the most money?
What fundraiser did you enjoy the most?
How long has this building been under construction?
How long has this been an idea?
Has it turned out the way you wanted to?
Are the Greenfielder's enjoying the facility?
The story .
Tuesday the 5th at 4:30 the bodmin college hideout room will be relieved to the parents of pupils at the school and heres what happened there at the evening . ( video plays of the opening evening and all photos and videos captured. ) The first idea's for the hideout arose in January of the year 2017 they started gathering quotes from local businesses and these where to high for the centre to afford so kept searching, once they had found one they started a funding campaign to raise funds but evidently had to create posters to create and awareness of why it was needed , and on there poster ( which will be displayed ) Exploration , Empowerment , Communication as well as raising there Confidence , Engagement and Independence . A sensory room would provide Security ,Relaxation , Freedom and is specially designed environment which creates focus on sense such as feel , vision , sound and smell.
The room its self was first going to be built into a container before quickly scrapping the idea because it would not be comfortable for the user and went to the schools councillors to ask for funding support and they were helped out financial with the hideout they were also given a spare unused room just a short walk from the greenfield centre , which will come in handy. To raise the remaining balance that the school governors couldn't help with, They started a challenge called the seven peak challenge where the school selected students to come out of school to cornwall services to the clip and climb centre where the student had to climb up as many walls as possible to recreate them climbing to seven peaks of a mountain , this encourage spectators to donate to the charity fund , at the end of the fundraiser they had completed there challenge and evan i was part of it.
After finding the right quote back in 2017 , they were called to start on the conversion of the room , and the room was finally to a high enough standard for teachers to enter and experience in September of 2018 , which is over a year later from the start of the discussions . In January of 2019 when the students came back to school the were greeted to the room being all but finished and able to use .
Fast forwarding to today Tuesday the 5th of march the open evening of the room there are still some small things to come like a white board and some special glow in the dark magnets to be used on there. The room has a uv area ,which has uv lights, is where the glow in the dark magnets will be used and in the main are behind the curtains is where the chill area lys , it has a water feature on the left wall as you walk in which creates a relaxing sound and then there is a medium sized padded area for students to chill out listening to sounds or looking a a background projected by a projector on the wall just out of reach above the padding , same with the computer and the screen open the pad is touch screen so can be use as an interactive white board to used for lesions games or just a relaxing background, the room has also has led lights which can be changed by turning a padded cube which has different colours for the led lights.
Thats all from me back to the studio.

Continuity Editing
14th Dec 2018
L/O: To explore the concept of continuity editing and create a scene using continuity editing
Continuity Editing:
A system of cutting used to maintain continuous and clear narrative action by following a set of rules
Rules

Establishing shot - An establishing shot in film making and television production sets up, or establishes the context for a scene by showing the relationship between its important figures and objects
Shot / Reverse shot - Shot reverse shot is a film technique where one character is shown looking at another character, and then the other character is shown looking back at the first character. Since the characters are shown facing in opposite directions, the viewer assumes that they are looking at each other
180 Rule - Pink line = line of action , Blue blobs = people.

30 Rule - If changing the angle must be more than 30 Degree's
Crosscutting - Cross-cutting is an editing technique most often used in films to establish action occurring at the same time, and usually in the same place. In across-cut, the camera will cut away from one action to another action, which can suggest the simultaneity of these two actions but this is not always the case. Cutting between two scenes E.G Woman in car, Man running to the car
Match on action - Cutting on action or matching on action refers to film editing and video editing techniques where the editor cuts from one shot to another view that matches the first shot's action. See someone doing action next shot seeing what they were doing E.G Man shoots next shot see the bluet hit a person
Eyeline match - Eyeline matching is a film editing technique associated with continuity editing to help establish a logical coherence between shots and make the storytelling smooth, logical and continuous. Eyeline matching is one of the basic building blocks of moviemaking for a narrative film or story.
Re-Establishing shot - An establishing shot in film making and television production sets up, or establishes the context for ascene by showing the relationship between its important figures and objects.Goes back to a shot or place
My challenge today was to , Edit clips together to make them look as if they were filmed that way.
I chose to , start with the crime scene but was going o to add the autopsy into it as well.
I found , the editing the timings really difficult because , i was not good at the deleting part of the scenes when editing them together.
I enjoyed , watching through the clips and then editing them together.
My finished scene was , just over half of the crime scene investigation.
